Split Council Rejects Development Options For Loudoun St. Land

Leesburg
“For those who have wondered what to make of the open space at the West Loudoun Street entrance to the Town Hall parking garage, as of Tuesday night it is Leesburg's newest pocket park. That designation came on a 4-3 vote, as the council majority again rejected proposal to explore using the property for commercial development. By the same split, the council opposed Councilman Kevin Wright’s motion to offer the space for sale to a developer interested in building retail or office space. He was supported by Katie Hammler and Tom Dunn.”
