Preservation Group Puts Emphasis on Historic Districts in County

Arlington County:
“Preservation Arlington has posted new online tutorials highlighting the county’s historic districts. ‘The goal is to foster discussion about what these older neighborhoods mean to the fabric of our community,’ said officials of the historic-preservation group. Arlington has 34 local historic districts, which are designated by the county government and require property owners within them to abide by certain design-review guidelines. The county also is home to nearly 65 properties and communities listed in the National Register of Historic Places.”
